PRIVACY STATEMENT
Personal Information
The Institute of Property Education Pty.Ltd.('IPE') is committed to protecting and maintaining the privacy, confidentiality, accuracy and security of your personal information.
IPE, as a Registered Training Organisation, complies with the Australian Quality Training Framework Standards and has documented and implemented policies and procedures to assure the integrity, accuracy and currency of its records including:
a. ensuring that, except as required under the AQTF Standards or by law, information about a client is not disclosed to a third party without the written consent of the client;
b. access by clients to their personal records.
Forms are available from IPE's office for requesting access to or disclosure to nominated third parties of personal information. All staff, employees, trainers, advisors and agents of IPE are bound by the policies and procedures and must treat a client's personal information with the strictest confidentiality.
Course Results
The results achieved by clients attending IPE courses are subject to retention, archiving and retrieval for a period of 30 years and transfer consistent with the requirements of the registration authority. IPE will also keep records of courses undertaken (including dates, topics, activities and assessments) and Statements of Attainment or Achievement issued.
Use of Personal Information
The Personal Information of clients of IPE may be used by it t
a. inform clients of professional training and related services offered by IPE including new professional development courses;
b. carry out reviews of our internal administration and operations including record keeping, risk management, accounting, archiving, systems development and testing and staff training;
c. develop and customize new training products and services; and
d. undertake planning, research and statistical analysis.
We may also send you details of professional training and new professional development courses using personal contact information obtained from the public domain including telephone, e-mail and website directories. Existing clients and other receiving information from us can opt out from receiving further information by contacting IPE. Also, our e-mail information sheets contain an opt-out option link.

RULES OF THE INSTITUTE
1. Course times and venues are contained on IPE's website. Students are required to be punctual when attending class. IPE reserves the right to refuse admission to class to students who are late.
2. An Attendance Roll is kept for all courses conducted by IPE. A student is required to sign the Roll on each day of a course and will do so when requested by the teacher or IPE staff.
3. No attendance is recorded for absences on medical or any other grounds.
4. Students encountering problems whether associated with attendance, payment of fees, academic progress or personal problems should make an appointment to discuss the matter with the Chief Executive Officer.
5. Statements of Attainment will only be issued in respect of course units in which the student has been assessed as competent. For units not completed IPE will on request by a student issue a letter outlining those elements of competency in that unit in which competency has been achieved. Students must comply with the delivery and assessments requirements established by IPE under the principles of Competency Based Learning.
6. Students are entitled to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning following enrolment using the prescribed forms available from the office. IPE recognises the AQTF Qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations.
7. Complaints, Grievances and Appeals are required to be lodged on the prescribed forms available from the office and are subject to the procedures laid down by IPE.
8. Students have to assist with IPE's continual improvement program by completing feedback forms, questionnaires, induction checklists and other forms when requested by teachers or staff.
9. Students must behave in a courteous and friendly manner towards staff, teachers and other students and comply with the access and equity polices of IPE. Behavior which is discriminatory, harassing, vilifying or bullying is not permitted.
10. Students must follow instructions given from time to time by teachers and staff in relation to their behavior at training venues and during class.
11. Failure to comply with the Rules will be subject to disciplinary action by the CEO. Where a student is expelled from a course no refund of fees will be made.
